Papering the walls

Shock, horror! Fake Damien Hirst prints alert at Sotheby's. The so-called spot prints are much easier to copy than Leonardo's work. It is thought that this scam may 'kill Hirst's market', since both Christie's and Sotheby's have been conned by the resourceful forgeries. It seems that Hirst's work is pre-eminently forgeable by relatively inexperienced individuals. However, it will take more than this to down the resourceful and astute master creator and his team of collaborators. It can probably be taken as a compliment. Any price, spotty wallpaper hangings. As with stamps, you may never know when one turns out to be genuine.
