For the period through to the end of May, White Cube will be showing works by one of the world’s most recognised sculptors, Antony Gormley. His new work, 'Clearing' at White Cube, is composed of 7 km of rod that flies through the space as an endless matrix. On the Upper Floor at White Cube can be found three figurative forms, based on the human body, which are positioned in the white space, constructed entirely out of steel cubes. Another hunching figure appears reminiscent of Guantanamo Bay prisoners. It seems likely that the human predicament in Iraq will next challenge Gormley's perception.
