LRB has actually opened its own shop, in an amazing display of commercial acumen. First Agatha went, from Duke Street, St James's, then Zwemmer closed in late April. The niche that was the old LRB office is now a newer niche, with upwards of 20,000 titles in stock. One is unlikely to see Anthony Hopkins of Charing Cross Road fame here in Bury Place, but one might rub shoulders with Alan Bennett. And there will certainly be a shelf or two of review copies to recycle, so publishers and reviewers must catch on.
