Serpentine Sackler Gallery

The Serpentine Gallery has opened a second space in Kensington Gardens, London. The Serpentine Sackler Gallery, made possible by a donation from the Dr Mortimer and Theresa Sackler Foundation, is the capital’s new art fanatics’ destination. The original, early 19th-century brick building, formerly a gunpowder store, was transformed by Zaha Hadid Architects with the addition of a new tensile structure, creating a combination of old and contemporary architecture. The Argentinian sculptor Adrián Villar Rojas was chosen to feature in the opening show. His exhibition runs until 10 November.
